2008 World Missions - One King One Kingdom
Lakeview Church’s mission is to impact our world not only in our communities but also across our globe. Through the generous support and offerings from our congregation, we have been able to give more than $15 million to missions in the past 25 years! We contribute to 112 missionaries on a monthly basis while giving more than $800,000
(including special projects) last year. Our 2008 World Missions Goal - One King One Kingdom - is $400,000. Through your support, we will impact thousands of lives in over 100 nations
Did You Know?
- 100% of your Missions Gift goes to World Missions.
- Your General Missions Donations are directed by a Lay-led non-compensated “Missions Advisory Committee” (MAC) that meets bi-monthly.
- All Missionary support is evaluated by MAC before support begins and all Missionary Support is reviewed at least on an annual basis.
- Missions is a self-funded ministry of Lakeview. Missions support does not come from the tithe, but its only means of support are through your Missions contributions.
- Currently Lakeview supports monthly 112 Missions activities world-wide.
- Your pledge is vital since MAC uses the total pledges as its budget basis for the year.
- All Missions Trip participants are individually responsible for the cost of the trip, and are not funded from General Missions.
- Missions only funds trip project costs (construction materials, medical supplies, etc.).
- The cost of your Missions trip that you pay through the church is fully tax-deductible as a contribution.
- If everyone would give $2 more per week to World Missions, 2008 would be our biggest year ever for World Missions.
