In this Sunday’s sermon, Pastor Ron Bontrager focused on the the fall theme for life groups: “Where do I fit in?” He discussed the three vital types of relationships that the Apostle Paul had, referenced in Ephesians 2:19-22.

1. We Need A Father
2. We Need A Friend
3. We Need A Follower

Join us for a church-wide cookout celebrating victories God has given and looking ahead for a dynamic fall! There will be free food, activities for the kids, and fellowship for everyone. The evening begins at 6 PM (not 5 PM as previously announced).  Around 7 PM, we will move into the sanctuary, where Pastor Ron Bontrager will share what’s coming up for the rest of ‘09, we will have a chance to hear from our new worship/executive Pastor Randy Quackenbush, and get an update from Pastor Rob regarding our ::infusion youth ministry. To make things easy for families, childcare will be provided for infants through kindergarten from 7:15 until 8:30.

Today’s message was given by Missionary Don Triplett who works with children in Latin America through his ministry King’s Castle.

The annual missions emphasis of Lakeview Church is July 26–August 16.  Each Sunday morning service will feature such inspiring speakers as Jason Frenn (7/26-Latin America), Paul Duda (8/2-Ecuador), Tom Paino (8/9-Action Now, Pastor Emeritus of Lakeview Church) and Don Triplett (8/16-El Salvador).  Two very special dessert nights are planned on August 2 and 16.  Each will begin at 6:00 PM and will be held in our Youth Center.  Both nights will feature multimedia reports on Lakeview sponsored missions trips from 2009 and information regarding future trips.  Those who are interested in going on an upcoming missions trip will want to attend one of these two dessert nights!  Plan now to be a part of the 2009 missions emphasis at Lakeview Church.
