This week’s sermon by Pastor Ron Bontrager is based on Genesis 1 and focuses on three snapshots of God:

These snapshots of God encourage us to take what God has given us and help someone else by connecting in ministry.

January 18-25 is Connection Week at Lakeview. This is an opportunity for everyone who attends Lakeview to join a life group and get connected.  In this Sunday’s message, based on Ephesians 5, Pastor Ron Bontrager discusses why a person should get connected at Lakeview:

Lakeview’s mission statement is “Connecting to Christ, changing lives, impacting the world….together.”  This Sunday, Pastor Ron Bontrager used 1 Corinthians 3 to talk about the three parts of Lakeview’s vision:

1. To Draw You Deeper Into Christ
2. To Draw You Deeper Into The Body of Christ
3. To Draw You Deeper Into The World

This Sunday, Pastor Ron Bontrager challenged the congregation to find a verse for 2009 that God is speaking to them.  His own verse for 2008 was 2 Timothy 1:7, which tells us that God wants to give us a spirit of power and love, and a sound mind.
