The Food Pantry Ministry of Lakeview Church provides help to those in need, not only to our own church members, but also to people living in the surrounding community. In 2008, the Pantry helped over 2500 families and almost 9000 individuals. Food Pantry day is normally the last Tuesday of each month, but holiday month dates may vary. The Pantry opens at 10 AM and runs until 2 PM, but plan on coming early if possible. Families are given canned, dry, boxed foods in addition to frozen meats, bread, and pastries. When available, fresh produce is also given. The Food Pantry provides resource material on a variety of topics, encouragement, referral information, and prayer to families who desire it. Emergency food may be obtained through the church office during office hours.

This morning, Pastor Ron Bontrager discussed the two sides of faith, based on Hebrews 11. The first side of faith is deliverance (the realization of things hoped for), and the second side of faith is endurance (the assurance of things not seen).
