This Sunday, Pastor Ron concluded the month of October and Lakeview’s 31 Days of Prayer by giving a sermon on forceful prayer, based on Matthew 11. Forceful prayer is prayer that is full of faith and includes prayer for others.

Pastor Ron continued Lakeview’s October 31 Days of Prayer focus with a sermon titled: Persistence in Prayer.  His sermon, based on Luke 11, reminded the congregation to never stop asking and never stop taking the three steps of faith.

This October, Lakeview’s congregation has been challenged to spend 31 days in prayer.  As part of this challenge, Pastor Ron’s sermon this week focused on the Lord’s Model Prayer and its 6 basic component parts: praise, purpose, provision, pardon, protection, and perspective.

All throughout the month of October the church family is encouraged to move into DEEP PRAYER. The doors to the prayer tower are open daily from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. and the prayer rooms are available to enable you to get alone with God. Every Saturday night we are hosting “Simply Prayer.” The sanctuary doors will be opened from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. as well as the prayer tower area. Come and simply pray. There is no agenda. There is no set order. Just come and call out on the name of the Lord. Stay as long as you like. Let’s touch the heart of God as one person and as one body.

Pastor Ron began the month of October by encouraging the congregation to spend the month of October focusing on prayer.  He reminded them that God chooses to do nothing apart from prayer, so we too can choose to do nothing apart from prayer.
