Today, Pastor Ron’s sermon focuses on spiritual parenting. Spiritual parenting involves many different components, including teaching, friendship, personal sacrifice, modeling, and encouraging. The sermon encourages the congregation to get involved in Lakeview’s life groups for ministry and service.

In this week’s sermon, while encouraging the congregation to sign up for summer life groups, Pastor Ron discusses the three lies that break connection to the body: I am all alone, nobody struggles like I do, and nobody cares.

In honor of Mother’s Day, this week’s sermon was given by Pastor Ron Bontrager’s wife Dorene.  The sermon, called “Freedom from Rules,” discussed the three things we need to know about rules and how Jesus changed the rules.  The key to filling the need for relationship and achievement is total surrender to Jesus’ ways.

1 John 4:7-11 was the basis for this week’s sermon, which focused on three roadblocks to Biblical loving relationships: anxiety,  guilt, and inferiority.
